The Rob Roy Kelly American Wood Type Collection website had been dormant for four years. I was brought on to update the website to promote the collection and its resources. I worked with the design division at The University of Texas at Austin to update the website architecture, graphics, content and hosting to comply with university web standards.

I took texture rich photos for use as headers to contrast the simple form of the type scans. The visual design of the pages was kept minimal to create a more contemporary feel and allow content to shine through.
Experience
After reviewing google analytics data and email feedback on the old website, I created a draft of the information architecture that allowed the site to be more accessible to a casual visitor. This information was honed through client workshops. I also worked with the client to refine preexisting copy.
